The last and first time I participated in the “Day of DH” was in 2012. How time flies. Some things have changed since then. Last year, I applied for the Junior Research Group “Computational Literary Genre Stylistics” led by Christof Schöch. Today, we are participating in the Day of DH as a group, as well! See the CLiGS blog. This is my opportunity to (1) do/receive my PhD and (2) to amplify, shift or narrow my focus from “general DH” to “Romance DH”. I would like to see it as both amplifying and narrowing.
At the same time, I am still working at the Cologne Center for eHumanities (CCeH), conducting digital projects in cooperation with the Northrine-Wesfalian Academy of Science and the Arts, trying to pass on experience and responsibilities.
Another “new” project which I am very happy about is a cooperation with the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in person with Pedro Sepúlveda, aimed at the creation of a digital edition of Fernando Pessoa’s work and publication plans. The time frame for this project is rather short and funds are limited, but motivation is high and we plan to launch the digital edition this summer/autumn.
Now I would like to have a look who else is around, for example, which members of the Institute for Documentology and Scholarly Editing (IDE)?
And then stop to palaver and get some work done!
