A Day in the Life of the Digital Humanities (Day of DH) is an
open community publication project that will bring together scholars interested in the digital humanities from around the
world to document what they do on one day

A multilingual DayofDH

Posted by

Dear Digital Humanists,

It is a pleasure for us to announce that the DayofDH website has just been opened! we invite you to spread this message across mailing lists, social networks and other channels in order to reach the maximum number of Digital Humanists! Our purpose is to answer the question: What do digital humanists do? and see which the panorama is in 2015.

This year we offer two novelties: DayofDH is hosted for the first time outside North America, and, for that reason, we have tried to organize a “bilingual” DayofDH and to offer both an English and a Spanish version of the contents of our website. We encourage you to translate your posts and to help others translating!

Also, parallel activities will be developed in the different countries to “celebrate” the Day. Editathons, thatcamps and crowdsourcing events will be planned and announced via this web!

And last but not least…

Congratulations to the LINHD team, and looking forward to reading all the blogs later!

It’s worth mentioning that this in part builds on the experiences of an earlier bilingual DayofDH (in Spanish and Portuguese, and hosted by UNAM in Mexico), which was organised in previous years by various people in Latin America, Portugal, Spain and the UK. See
